The St. Paul Yoga Center is located in St. Paul at 1162 Selby Avenue, near the intersection of Lexington Avenue and Interstate 94.

The entrance to the Corner Studio is on the southwest corner of Selby and Dunlap; the entrance to the Selby Studio is one door west of that corner.

BIKE

The entirety of Summit Avenue (a few blocks south of the center) has a dedicated bike lane, as does Marshall Avenue (a few blocks north of the center) between Lexington Avenue and the river. There are several bike racks in the neighborhood around the center, and we now have bike racks in front of our Selby Studio! Bicyclists are also welcome to bring their bicycles indoors as space allows. The St. Paul Yoga Center is a member of the Bike Benefits program. When you bike to class and show your helmet with a Bike Benefits sticker on it, you get a dollar back! We sell the stickers for $5 if you need one, and they are good for bike benefits at all the wonderful participating businesses.

DRIVE & PARK

Take Interstate 94 to Lexington Avenue exit. Go south on Lexington Avenue a few blocks to Selby Avenue. Turn right on Selby and proceed 1 block to the yoga center.

Street parking is available on the well-lit streets surrounding the Yoga Center. The lots attached to the building are for residents and Pizza Lucé customers: please do not park in the lots.

Please note, during the winter Saint Paul streets are subject to different parking rules during Snow Emergencies. For more information or to sign up for snow emergency alerts, please check the City of Saint Paul’s Snow Removal webpage.

RIDE

Twin Cities Metro Transit Bus Route 21 stops on the corner of Dunlap and Selby, directly in front of the center. Check the Route 21 schedule on the Metro Transit website.

    The knowledge of your teachers is amazing. How they are able to work with each student individually, adjusting postures via blankets, blocks, chairs, or just a soft touch or word. I also love they way subtle moves are valued – and not the “Yoga Journal cover photo” postures. Thank you!!

    I’ve attended 2 classes with Paul, and found them both to be an extremely personalized experience. Paul is very knowledgeable about poses, yoga, and the body. My class was completely different from past experiences at corporate yoga studios and I’d urge anyone interested to attend a drop in class.

    Things that were new to me: much more use of props, which helped me get more into poses; no mirrors on the walls, so it felt much lower pressure to look or perform a certain way; more individualized attention; no music (unless you count Paul’s chanting).

    Also, I brought my boyfriend who had never done yoga, and he found it very accessible and plans to keep going!

    1) The instructors are great! I have taken two All Levels donation classes with Paul Busch. He is very knowledgeable and accommodating. He tailors each class to match students’ level/background, injuries, and preferences.

    2) The studio itself is quiet, well stocked, clean, and relaxing.

    3) Donation based classes are inclusive and affordable!

    This is a great yoga studio. That is what they do. No spa treatments, no cross selling, teachers with over 280 year combined yoga experience they tell me. I learned the fundamentals here which helps for anything else called yoga. There are teachers and classes for any level you want.If you want a studio that lives up to the name yoga, this is it.

    Highly recommend this studio focused on Iyengar yoga. The online classes have helped me weather the pandemic and keep grounded. The teachers are all excellent and accessible, providing adjustments and guidance for injuries & aches/pains.

    Tesitmonial WrIyengar yoga (and the stellar Iyengar yoga instructors!) at the St Paul Yoga Center is a top reason for me to feel grounded, peaceful and healthy on a day to day basis. The instructors are consistently fantastic at what they do. I constantly think to myself after their 90 minute classes that health insurance should absolutely be covering this. For me personally, it is a method of healing (and maintenance of health) which uses both movement and absence of movement (stillness), strength, and balance to impart wellness into my life at an exponential level.     It’s amazing how the St. Paul Yoga Center was able to pivot in March and offer quality online yoga classes that make me come back again and again. These are so much better than a random video from YouTube, because the instructor creates a community of practitioners and offers one-on-one advice. I love these classes!

    If you want real yoga with real yoga teachers, who have tons of experience, check out St. Paul Yoga on Selby. They are extremely knowlaedgable and dedicated, and call you by your name. You’re not just another person in the room that has fallen under the spell of yoga. They deeply care about either restoring your body if you have issues that you need to deal with, or deepening your yoga practice, whether spiritual or physical. I am constantly amazed by their sense of including different types of people, ages, and bodies.
